My Holiday Souvenirs

By Matteo Portelli. One day my mother told me to grab my box of souvenirs and put it in a cupboard. When I opened the box I found many souvenirs of my journeys around the world. The best two are an owl called Fufu and a rubber keychain. Fufu is from South America. I got it in 2002. It is made of synthetic fur. It is big and brown. I have had it since I was only three years old. I bought it from a soft toy shop. It was full of different kinds of soft toy animals. There was a dog as black as coal. Then I spotted an owl. It was not the one I have now. It was a white owl. Its fur was as white as snow. Then I spotted Fufu. I knew I would keep it. I bought it for only three Dollars. The rubber keychain is from the South Pole. I have had it since I was four years old. My dad and I went to visit my uncle. He took me to see all of the ice buildings. I bought the keychain in one of these buildings.I was very happy because it gave me luck. The keychain reminds me of my uncle. He used to tell me stories about dad's childhood. I used to laugh when he told me something funny that had happened. I will never forget how much fun I had. Now it was time for me to decide whether to leave Fufu and the keychain back in the box. I was unsure what to do!
